Introduction to TypeB RCCB
The TypeB RCCB (Residual Current Circuit Breaker, interchangeable with “RCB”) is a critical safety component for EV charger installations. It is installed at the upstream of the EV charger and cuts off the circuit upon detecting any current imbalance in the live and neutral wires, which could indicate a current leakage to the ground. This is done to protect the user from serious dangers including electric shock and fire hazards.
MEKEL provides a complete lineup of TypeB RCCBs designed to meet the latest international charging safety standards including IEC 61851 and IEC 60364-7-722. This includes Type A + 6mA DC and Type B RCCB. Send us an inquiry and we will find the right RCCB for your installation needs.
